Publishing tycoon Hugh Hefner may have to sack some of his bunnies. The bad kind of sacking, not the fun kind.
The 82-year-old Hefner, the libertine founder of Playboy Magazine, has been advised to cut back on staff at his multi-million dollar magazine empire, as it struggles to cope during the global economic turmoil.
Hef, who currently lives with his three girlfriends Holly Madison, Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt in the Playboy mansion in Los Angeles, has been told to lay off some of his staff at his LA and New York offices as soon as this month or go bankrupt.
Spokesperson Elizabeth Austin would not confirm the sackings, saying: "It is our policy not to comment on corporate matters such as employee issues."
