Hello Mothers,

please sit down and talk to your daughters and sons also. This world is brutal, Naomi Campbell has been in this business forever, and she can tell you about the bumps and the bruises, literally and so can Tyra Banks. It is very very rewarding, but if this is your plan A, you better have an A thru Z plan, this business is bigger than one individual will ever be.

Go for your dreams, but please have a plan and for gods sake, please make sure that your dreams are realistic. I personally think that we all should have an agent or a career counselor that can advise us from birth to our final days, but that is not realistic, but we all need some type of guidance. This world is bigger than I am, but I have a part to play as a PUBLISHER and I am giving it all I have got.

At my age , over 40, I know what to do in life, and I also know what not to do. If you don't do anything else, please please please, establish a foundation first for your family or future family, in other words buy that Real Estate, land isn't going anywhere.

Ok Mothers I can go on and on, if you have a son or a daughter wanting to pursue this field, which in THE HOOD, most of us do. Please give them more choices than that.

I was watching the movie - WHITE MEN CAN"T JUMP , and Woody Harelson told Wesley Snipes a power statement. He says that Black Men always want to look good first and WIN second, but White men, WIN forst and look good second.

Think about it, and explain this to your sons and daughters, especially us in THE HOOD, we get used up as far as our physical ability can takes us, but please explain to your children,that a Businessmans life is a lot longer than an athlete or a Model or an Entertainer, unless he or she is in charge of Their Own Money, now that is a Businessman or a Businesswoman, in other words have a DREAM, but please be in control of it, and always have a plan.

Naomi Campbell does, if she doesn't , I am sure someone else has plans for her. Good or Bad, she is making herself and others a TON of money, and guess who is making the most of her money? So please have a PLAN.

The Horse at Emeryilles fabulous Bay Street Shopping Center, I am in the mood for relaxing today, and I am going to tour Emeryville, this place is very very nice, The Bay Street Mall has everything that you need, Shop until you drop, restaurants Galore as well as Movie Theatre , Barnes and Noble and a Borders in the same neighborhood, I can go on and on, just look at it this way, when you have an APPLE STORE and a VICTORIA SECRETS in the same neighborhood, well judge for yourself. The place is nice. Oooooops I forgot PIXAR.





Even though I am relaxing, I am having the time of my life, because I am working today also. I never ever stop working, my mind will not let me stop. Satisfying Saturday at The Ynot Times. I am going to report to The Hoods of America, the great things that are all around them. So for those of you whom are not doing anything today or tomorrow, quit making excuses and take the family to this place or another place near your HOOD, that you have not been before. The Golf Course vs The Basketball Court Think about it all for a minute:



In almost every hood in the USA you have Basketball Courts, but you also have Golf Courses, as well within the same HOOD. WHY???? Those are the people who run the cities in which we live. Oakland, California for example:


You have 98th avenue, which is a main artery in the hood, littered with everything from one spectrum to another, on one end you have the suburbs above 98th avenue, on and the other end you have the HOOD, lower income housing and schools and yes basketball courts many of them. Further on down 98th Avenue you have the Golf Courses near the Oakland-Airport.... Now, the Golf Course crew is discussing what they are going to do with the Basketball Crew. I have a NEWSFLASH for you??????Guess who is in control????????Not someone who has a 50inch vertical leap......



Lets get to the point, The Golf Country Clubs are full of businessmen, lawyers,doctors,politicians, and sports agents, making decisions on the residents within THE HOOD, they are looking at the Basketball Crew up the street, and looking to pick one of them to showcase his talents and advertise their products and services, paying him /her millions and making them billions. There is nothing wrong with that: I am all for it: Think about this scenario:


What if you have 50 guys on the sidelines waiting to get on a 3 on three and you have another 50 guys who are the medical students,law students,future cpa's and they all are from the hood. RIGHT there, you have a whole community, a great big ENTERPRISE, created by THE HOOD and maintained by THE HOOD.


Please don't keep going down the same path, create more lawyers and doctors from the hood, sports is just another job. Create an economy off of a football,basketball and baseball. This is what the GOLF COURSE CREW does. Don't be mad at the Golf Course Crew, they are brilliant, be mad at The Basketball Crew, why? They are not creating an environment for THEIR BOYS to be Lawyers and Doctors, why not????? They have all of the money.. The Hood is The Host Of Outstanding Development, in a big way..... The Golf Course Crew knows this: Why not create a Country Club Environment with the Basketball Crew, make this a training ground for doctors - lawyers - accountants.. People in the Hood can do anything they choose to.


Do this: Go up the street to the planner of The Golf Course, and get the business plans and apply them to the Basketball Crew, create membership, business mixers, dinners, make it entertainment and business more business than entertainment..... Quit partying, because The Golf Course Crew is making money off of Partying more so than you think, who do you think owns all of the wine vineyards where liquor comes from...... JUST: Think JUST: Stop If you want your life to change, then stop doing what you have been doing.


Please do not be mad at the Golf Course Crew, they are just Keeping It Real: Just open your eyes, The Hood is comprised of a 2 Trillion Dollar a year group of people, and they all hang out and party, and play basketball,baseball and football. Not all of them, but many of them do. I am from The Hood , so I know.

Attention to The Residents of The Hood

Yes I mean you my people, we are a 1 trillion dollar spending economy of people.

So my question is this, Why are we doing so poorly as a NATION of People.

It is all psychological, you do not need The Hummer , The Mustang , The Navigator, The Denali , The Spinning Rims, The Plasma TV and I am talking to you hourly working people, let alone the ones of us that do not work at all.

Our minds tell us that we need all of this FLUFF and no one is preparing for the future at all.

You complain about your jobs all week, but what do you do about it on the weekend? You spend the little money that you make on running up and down the streets of the neighborhoods that you are trapped in, and you go right back to work whining , but you did nothing to change your situation.

Most of us spend all of this money while we are renting, I can go on and on, but I will end this Blog by saying.

Anyone, and I mean anyone can own a home, please do not listen to the HOOPLA about you can't afford one. The only reason that you cannot afford a home is that you are listening to the Advertisers and Manufacturers that want you to keep on buying their goods and services in order to keep them owning their homes.

Yes today is a different Money Monday at The Ynot Times.

To those of you who have a plan for the Future, I applaud you because I know that you are out there- THANK YOU.

This is a message to all of fortunate Athletes and Entertainers, I am proud of you all, get everything that you need, but having all of the above cars, is it worth it? Four to six are OK, but 30 cars just to say you have them. If you are a Collector Great, but that is not the case.

Look at the people of The Hurricane Disaster in New Orleans.

This is the worst money management advice that your Lawyers can give you. Once again I am proud of you all, but it is time to be more mindful of what you are doing. STOP , the frivolous spending. It is ridiculous. Some of you have the above cars 5 times over, not as a collection but just to drive. MTV cribs is showing the world your money management skills, trust me, there are a whole lot of athletes and Entertainers that wish they could do it over again. You are spending millions on cars and clothes and women.

You all can create a Law firm, a Venture Capitalist firm, a Bank , a Hospital etc. You all have billions if utilized the right way, Yes this is Money Monday at The YNOT TIMES, you all have an obligation, so please think think think. Slow down please and help the rest of the people.............
